Commander on Arena is finally more than a wishlist item. A senior Wizards product manager just went on record saying it’s being built.

Magic: The Gathering

Commander is coming to MTG Arena. Senior Digital Product Manager Dave Finseth told streamer Ashlizzlle that the format is “being worked on” — the first real confirmation that the most popular way to play paper Magic is headed to the client. No timeline yet, but for the millions of Commander players who’ve stuck to paper and SpellTable, this is the acknowledgment they’ve been waiting for. Read the full interview breakdown.

The Hobbit crossover is still steering the secondary market. Two weeks after release, Universes Beyond’s Middle-earth set is doing most of the heavy lifting in this week’s price spikes, so if you cracked packs early there may be value sitting in your binder. Check the weekly spike list.

Over on the brewing side, the latest Much Abrew tackles a Standard “Goblins” list that’s secretly an artifact deck — the kind of misdirection that makes for a fun FNM surprise. See the decklist and gameplay.

And for budget grinders, this week’s $30 Unsleeved Commander episode proves you don’t need a bankroll to have a great pod night. Watch the build here.

That’s the day — go dig through your Hobbit packs.
