A busy couple of days across the hobby — Legacy gets shaken up, Lorcana’s next set keeps revealing, and Pokémon Pocket has a new expansion out.
Magic: The Gathering
The June 29 Banned and Restricted update is the headline. Candelabra of Tawnos is now banned in Legacy, ending a long run as a format fixture, and there’s a Brawl shakeup bundled in alongside it. If you play either format, this one directly hits your decklists — check the full breakdown of the bans and Brawl changes before your next event.
Want the discussion to go with it? The MTGGoldfish crew dug into the ban list update and the ripple effects of Marvel Super Heroes crashing into constructed and draft on their latest podcast. Worth a listen if you’re trying to read where the metagame heads next — tune in to the full episode.
Lorcana
The newest Attack of the Vine reveals are here, headlined by Megavolt – Electrical Menace, a 4-cost Steel character with Strength 1, Willpower 4, and Lore 3. His Force Field ability is the standout: while you have no cards in your hand, he gains Resist +2, rewarding aggressive empty-hand strategies. Merida and Isabela Madrigal join him in the reveal lineup, giving deckbuilders plenty to chew on ahead of release. Check out the full Attack of the Vine reveals for the complete card breakdowns.
Pokémon TCG
The Everyday Wonders expansion for Pokémon TCG Pocket is live. It packs Pikachu, Piplup, Snorlax, Greedent, Sylveon, Hisuian Zoroark ex, and a Mega Diancie ex, plus fresh Supporter cards including Puppy-Loving Girl and Wallace. New chase cards mean new pulls to hunt — see the full card list and details here.
That’s the board for today — sleeve up and go bend a few games to your will.
